Indian Talking Feathers by Bonnie Dunnewind.  The story goes that only the person holding the decorated feather  in a meeting is allowed to speak.  A tube is covered with leather and beaded then the end is cut to make  the fringe.  A feather is inserted and additional feathers are used to finish.  Bonnie paints the feathers in acrylic paints and spray seals them to help protect against moth damage. Some of these are Canada goose feathers from a goose she shot several years ago and  for ones that are to be sold she uses white turkey feathers some of which are painted to imitate eagle feathers.

A Snake skin Belt with a Snake Head Buckle by John Jarvis

John used a purchased leather belt with the snaps in place and a metal oval metal buckle base.  The covers for the buckle were cut with enough extra to punch and lace the coverings together (Snake head area and scrap leather backing). The snake skin was glued  to the front and black felt was glued to the back of the belt before punching and lacing thru all three layers.  Then the holes were punched putting two holes ahead and two behind the just perfect fit size. The snakes glass eyes were already on the purchased skin.
